Sometimes a second opinion just helps you feel better about a decision. For that reason, we offer a free review of other companies’ bids. We can come to your home and go over their bid with you and essentially audit their bid against what we see as we look at your home.

We will help confirm that you’ve been given good information and a competitive price. We can help give you some questions you might ask if we see something concerning.

What does HVAC mean?2019-11-19T16:24:56-07:00

HVAC is an acronym that stands for Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning. That last term (Air Conditioning) refers to “cooling” the air.

Each system can be installed as a stand-alone system. One system for Heating. Another for Ventilation. And yet another for Air Conditioning.

Modern residential systems are very often integrated systems meaning a single integrated system provides all three services. Thus they’ve are often referred to as a single system called HVAC. But in reality, these are still 3 separate systems working together to keep your home well ventilated and comfortable.

Will there be a lot of noise and a huge mess?2019-11-19T16:25:06-07:00

We absolutely will not leave a mess for you to deal with!

We place tarps on the floors and wear shoe covers. There will likely be some dust and noise during installation. But when we’re done, we will vacuum and clean up any mess.

Our goal is for you to be 100% satisfied with your entire experience with our company.

How long will it take to install my new furnace and air conditioner?2019-11-19T16:25:26-07:00

We’ve been doing this for over 30 years so we will be able to give you an accurate estimate of installation time as part of our bid.

That said, the large majority of our installations are completed within a single day.

Which furnace brand is the best?2019-11-19T16:27:40-07:00

Often, vendors represent a single brand. They’ll tell you their brand is the very best and they genuinely believe it. That’s okay.

At Bountiful Mechanical HVAC, we believe there are many good furnace brands on the market and we sell a wide variety. We will share what we like and dislike about particular models as we help you find the best fit for your home and family.

No haggling required!2019-11-19T20:34:03-07:00

We pride ourselves on maintaining consistently competitive pricing. As you’ll see in many of our online reviews, customers appreciate our low prices.

The very first price we give you is our best price. We focus on accurate bids and operate our business in such a way that we can make those bids extremely competitive while still delivering better equipment for the same money.

That said, many of our customers are working within a tight budget. We can work with you to get the best system to match what you have available in your budget.

And again, one thing we absolutely won’t do is try to sell you bells and whistles that you just won’t need.

Are you going to upsell me things I do not need?2020-01-02T17:07:36-07:00

Many home service companies sell customers equipment they don’t actually need. This often happens when a technician isn’t knowledgeable or just isn’t honest.

Here at Bountiful HVAC, we focus on honesty and quality of service. That is who we are. And frankly, that policy is why we have a large number of positive reviews.

We will only suggest the equipment you actually need. And we’ll explain why it is needed.

Lastly, we know you’ll find our equipment and labor prices to be extremely competitive.

How much does a new furnace and air conditioner cost?2019-11-19T20:35:50-07:00

Every home and installation is unique. Some of the considerations include:

  • Where is your furnace located? (Attic, crawl space, basement, closet, etc.)
  • Will any utilities or venting systems require upgrading to meet code or handle a modern HVAC system?
  • Will you need electric, natural gas, or a propane furnace?
  • Where is the electrical outlet? Does it provide adequate amperage?
  • Where is the natural gas or propane connection?
  • How will fumes vent to the outdoors? Are existing vents adequate and up to code?
  • Which brand might have the best rebate options?

We would be happy to talk with you by phone to answer any initial questions you may have. Ultimately, we’d like to visit you at home and review the installation situation. That will allow us to build a specific bid and explain in detail our recommendations.

To give you an idea of a range, we have recently done installations for as little as $2,500. In large, complex home environments a complete system may price in the tens of thousands.
